Rahul Gandhi: Congress (I) will work for development of UP

Hitting hard against non-Congress (I) governments of Uttar Pradesh Rahul Gandhi has blamed leaders like Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav who do not talk about poverty; they only talk about caste and religion. "The leaders don't say remove poverty, give employment and food to people. They are only concerned on how to plunder." Rahul Gandhi said, “Non-Congress governments think only about today. Congress (I) leader referring to loot of central funds in UP said, "Rajiv Gandhi used to say that out of Rupee one only 15 paise reach people, but in UP not a single paisa is reaching." He said that the loss was not that of the Centre or the state government, but that of the people and future of Uttar Pradesh. He pointed out that wherever Congress (I) has ruled those states have developed. He promised that Congress (I) will put UP on the path of fast track development, if given chance to form government after Assembly elections due in 2012.
