Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: Let us bring back the development that we saw under Indira Gandhi

Priyanka Gandhi reminded the people about the development that took place in the region under Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister and former M.P from Raebareli. She said, “The old people here must be remembering the tremendous development took place in your region under Indira Ji, when both the Centre and the state were ruled by Congress. We could not experience the same development later because there was no Congress Government in your state for the past 22 years”.

She was addressing an election rally at the Unchahar assembly segment of Raebareli as part of her campaign for Congress in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh. She has been seeking support for Congress in the two constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli.

Appreciating the Congress-led UPA Government at the centre, she added, “You must have noticed that the policies of the Centre are based on the rights of the people. I am not here to seek your votes in favour of Congress or Sonia Ji. But I have come to remind you that your votes should be in favour of your better future and development of your state. By electing the Congress candidate you will definitely strengthen the hands of Sonia Ji because she can work with your MLA more comfortably for the improvement of this region”.

Concluding her address, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “You have now a golden chance after 22 years to change the course of politics, to change the state Government and to bring back development in your state. Please remember my words, think about it when you go to the polls on 19th and cast your vote in favour of Congress and help the Congress to form a Government in the state to take Uttar Pradesh back on the track of progress”.
