Rahul Gandhi: Non-Congress Parties forgot development in U.P

Launching scathing attack on parties like BJP, BSP and SP for taking UP backward rather than taking it forward, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said these parties forgot development and progress of Uttar Pradesh. “For 22 years, you have voted for leaders who spoke about religion and caste but forgot development and progress. Mulayam Singh Yadav unleashed a reign of criminals and Mayawati turned to corruption. There are no roads, no tube wells, no progress and no opportunities for the youth, who have been forced to migrate in search of livelihood. Now is the time to change your future. You gave them 22 years, give us five years and we will make UP a leading state,” he added. Rahul Gandhi further said that this time if voted to power, the Congress (I) would transform UP to the extent that students from Andhra Pradesh would come here to study engineering and the nation will see the splendor of UP.
