Coming down hard on the parties like BSP, SP and BJP for ignoring the development of the state over the last 22 years for the sake of their vote bank politics, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said he would not leave until the development of UP is insured. “I will not budge from here. Let me tell you that when I choose to take up something, I do not leave it halfway," said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Jaunpur on February 12 for UP Assembly elections. Stressing that welfare of the poor, career of the youth, care for the farmer and overall development of the state is more important than the elections, he said, “I will continue to fight for you because you have been duped for 22 years.” Blaming these parties being out of sync with needs of the people, he said while leaders of these parties do not meet the poor nor visit their villages how they can appreciate their problems. Highlighting that these parties have been indulging in corruption and pilferage of public funds sent by the centre, Rahul Gandhi urged the people this time to vote for Congress (I). He assured that Congress (I) will fulfill their aspirations by bring more and more welfare and development schemes. Congress (I) will do this all in next five years which these parties failed to do in the past 22 years, he added.
