Lashing out at the previous non-Congress Governments of BSP, SP and BJP for dragging the state of UP backwards, All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who led the Congress campaign in Uttar Pradesh, said that people in Uttar Pradesh are forced to migrate to other cities for jobs.
He expressed his concern over the bad governance and corruption in the government. Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi also informed the people that there is no shortage of money for development with the Congress-led Central Government but the state ministers are looting the money sent by the Centre to UP. The funds are not reaching the poor. It is the poor who suffer on this account, Rahul Gandhi said. People of UP are hardworking, talented and honest but BSP, SP and BSP act as ‘power brokers’ and have no vision to lead the way for development, alleged Rahul Gandhi. While claiming that Congress ruled states like Delhi, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh are developing fast, Rahul Gandhi said that if given chance this time, Congress (I) will also take UP to the top again.
