Rahul Gandhi: I believe in the strength of the people and so will not give blind promises

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav for giving blind promises ahead of elections and said that he will not make such false promises. The congress leader also questioned the promise of Mulayam Singh Yadav to convert Bundelkhand to Israel. Rahul Gandhi also asked how Mulayam can provide free electricity to all in U.P where there are no power houses to produce electricity.

“I will not give hollow promises like Mayawati and Mulayam. My intention is noble so there is no need of promises. For the past seven years I have been visiting various villages and mingling with poor farmers and workers. Farmers told me that the fertlisers are not available for them. Youth told me that they do not get jobs in U.P. I am here to fight for you and not to make toll promises” informed Rahul Gandhi and the crowd acknowledged it with applauds.

Rahul Gandhi then assured that he would not leave UP till it stands on its own feet”. “You will see Rahul Gandhi amongst the farmers, workers and poor people till development takes place and the Central funds reach the people. When I go to the people and interact with them some leaders term it as my drama. I do not mind and I am going to continue this drama” declared Rahul Gandhi.

“You have the strength as well as knowledge. “The money is yours. Your efforts bring development. Only you can bring in changes, not the leaders. What Congress does is to reach your money back to you,” he said.

“The day you form a Government that comes to you and enquire about your difficulties, changes will take place in U.P. But SP and BSP think that the people will blindly believe in their toll promises. They consider that the people are fools,” said Rahul Gandhi.

“I respect you. I will not lie because I believe in your strength. Please support Congress and elect Congress candidates to enable Congress to form a government of aam aadmi… You found time to hear me with respect and I am grateful for that,” concluded Rahul Gandhi.
