Rahul Gandhi: No one was bothered about Bundelkhand except Congress

The Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who undertook a tour to the Bundelkhand region questioned the sudden emergence of BJP leader Uma Bharti into the Uttar Pradesh electoral politics. Rahul Gandhi asked where she was when he was raising the Bundelkhand issue. The Congress General Secretary addressed rallies across the region as part of his Congress campaign in Uttar Pradesh.

“BJP has imported a leader from Madhya Pradesh. She was Chief Minister there, but had to flee from there. The people of Uttar Pradesh had never seen hat leader whenever they required assistance” said Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress leader continued, "When the affected people in the drought-hit Bundelkhand were crying for help, it was I who raised their issue and took them to the Prime Minister. When I was touring among the people of Bundelkhand, I could nit see any one there other than the Congress people."

Rahul Gandhi also said that now BJP has taken this stand for its narrow political gains. Rahul Gandhi also claimed that the people of UP has taken a decision to elect a Congress Government in the state for bringing back the development and lost glory in the state.
