Rahul Gandhi to the people: Free your hands and let us together develop UP

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who led the campaign for Congress in Uttar Pradesh lashed out at the non-Congress parties for the lack of development in the state and informed that the parties like BJP always asked from where we will have the money when Congress makes schemes for the benefit of the poor.

While speaking at a massive public rally in Meerut, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the money came by the hard work of the poor people in the country. “This money is not of BSP, SP, BJP or Congress. This is the money of your sweat and blood. This money is the result of hard work of farmers and workers. If the country is developing it is because of your efforts, your blood and sweat” said Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress led Central government sent huge amounts under MNREGA to UP. But Mayawati says that the scheme is of no use. You go to the states where Congress is in power like Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala or Maharashtra, every poor will vouch for the benefit of MNREGA” argued Rahul Gandhi.

“I go to the people to realize their strength. Your hands are tied now. The moment your hands are freed, the state will start developing” said the Congress leader. “For the past 22 years, your leaders never came to you. They were busy looting the public money. The magic elephant in Lucknow eats up the huge amount of money meant for the poor,” added Rahul Gandhi.
