Shahdol: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi kick-started his party's campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh by addressing a huge election rally in Shahdol on Thursday. While speaking on the occasion he slammed the ruling BJP government in the state by saying that hunger in Madhya Pradesh is the same as in Africa. "Recent UNICEF report says there are more hungry people in Madhya Pradesh like in Africa" said Rahul Gandhi and added "These people (in BJP) do not know that when there is hunger, there can be no development".

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi addressed a huge election rally at Lalpur Ground in Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. The Congress leader also is scheduled to meet those admitted to hospital after being injured in the Sunday's stampede at Ratangarh temple. Rahul Gandhi will address another at Mela Ground in Gwalior later. Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be held on November 25th to elect a new Assembly.
