Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday wished the Narendra Modi government a "happy birthday" on finishing its first year in power without forgetting his month-old jibe at the Centre. "On behalf of the Congress party, I would like to officially wish the suit-boot ki sarkar a very happy birthday," the 44-year-old leader said at a rally in Kerala's Kozhikode district organised to take on the Modi government on its much-hyped anniversary.

We will provide electricity and water on the lowest rate, will make contract workers permanent, and give right to shelter to the people of Delhi,” he told reporters.

He accused the Central govt of changing all the schemes laws the Congress had launched for the poor and said that BJP gives money very easily to the rich people.
