Congress President Sonia Gandhi hoists tricolour at party headquarters

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi hoisted the tricolour at party headquarters on the occasion of country’s 67th Independence day. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and senior ministers and party leaders also attended the event.

Sonia Gandhi distributes sweets among children on the occasion. "Today I will only say Happy Independence Day to all of you," the Congress President told the media persons.

Union Ministers A K Antony, P Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Salman Khurshid and senior leaders Ahmed Patel, Ambika Soni and Janardan Dwivedi were among others present on the occasion.
