Congress (I) has lashed out at Mayawati government for scam in selection of BTC teachers. In 2010 Mayawati government declared competitive examination for the posts of BTC teachers. Application fee of Rs 400 each was taken. For 80,000 posts there were 20 lakh applicants. In spite of this Mayawati government did not hold the examination. Instead selection was done only on the basis of qualification-cum-merit. Congress (I) has asked if the examination was not to be conducted, then why application for examination and fee for that was taken? What happened to the applicants’ money? Besides, 80 thousands persons who were selected were made to pay interview fee of Rs 300 each. Congress (I) has said that due to such scams people have totally lost faith in Mayawati government which is indulging in making money at the cost of the public.
