Congress blames BJP for blocking Lokpal Bill

Congress has attacked BJP for sabotaging passing of Lokpal Bill in Rajya Sabha. Congress (I) has accused it for depriving the people of the institution of Lokpal.  The country needs Lokpal and Lokayukta to fight graft. It was BJP running parallel back office with Anna Hazare and Team in front office demanding an early passage of Lokpal Bill. But when Congress introduced a strong Lokpal Bill in the Lok Sabha BJP opposed the constitutional status to the Lokpal. Again when the bill came up before the Rajya Sabha BJP it tried to delay the proceedings of consideration of the Bill.  Further, all of a sudden it proposed 187 amendments instead of passing the Lokpal Bill which was cleared by Lok Sabha.  It is very clear from its act that they are no serious about the anti-corruption legislation. But Congress is committed to bring a strong anti-graft Bill.  Congress informed that in the all party meeting they supported constitutional status without conditionalities. Besides, there was no point for BJP to propose amendments in Rajya Sabha when in Lok Sabha it had already cleared the bill.  Congress (I) said this confirms the double stance of BJP and their non-commitment.
