Rahul Gandhi visits FTII, interacts with protesting students

PUNE: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday visited the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and expressed solidarity with the students who are protesting the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the chief of the institution. "The RSS and its wings promote mediocrity. I have seen this everywhere," Rahul Gandhi told agitating students.

Rahul Gandhi in Maharashtra: People laughing at Modi’s ‘acche din’ promise

While addressing election rallies at Maharashtra as part of his campaign for the upcoming assembly electio0ns in the state, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi took pot shots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that after promising “achhe din” (good times), he was now fobbing off the people with the assurance that “jaldi thik ho jayega” (things will be all right soon) along the border with Pakistan.Addressing a rally at Saswad in Pune Rahul Gandhi said that during the Lok Sabha election campaign Mr Modi used to say that he would scare off Pakistan and China. “The last few days have seen ceasefire violations by Pakistan, which had not happened in the last ten years. There are casualties but still Modi says ‘jaldi thik ho jayega’,” he said. “Our jawans are being killed, our children are being slaughtered,” he said. “Earlier achhe din (good times) were promised. Now people laugh at this slogan,” said the Congress leader.

Pune: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a mammoth election rally at Pune in Maharashtra, said that 2014 election is a battle between politics of love and politics of anger."This election is a battle of two ideologies; one is that of Congress which believes in uniting and empowering people and the other is that of BJP. This election is a battle between the ideologies of Gandhi Ji and Godse -- the battle between politics of love and politics of anger. One ideology (Congress') unites and the other (BJP's) is divisive. Remember, whenever these two ideologies fought, always the ideology of Gandhi ji and the Congress party won. Godse had killed Gandhi Ji because he could not challenge Gandhi ji's ideology, thought and love. He had no reply to Gandhi Ji and so he took out his gun and murdered Gandhi ji", argued the Congress leader and added, "No one can defeat Congress' ideology. It is due to this vision, our country developed,
