Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli, reviews progress of development works

Sonia Gandhi began her two day visit to her constituency Raebareli from Wednesday. She unveiled the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at the Zila Panchayat campus and garlanded the statue Indira Gandhi. Expressing serious concerns over the bad shape of roads here, the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee in a meeting chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi decided to write a letter to the central government to release funds meant for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY).

Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli launches welfare projects, interacts with people

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, on the last day of her two-day visit to her parliamentary constituency Raebareli, inaugurated a solar power based mini water pump system and interacted with the people. In the morning, Sonia met people at Bhueymau guest house here and listened to their grievances and took their applications. Later, she inaugurated the solar power based mini water pump system in Sanahi village before taking a tour of different villages.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi was in her parliamentary constituency Raebareli. She met with ITI workers who complained to her that they had not received their salaries for the past four months. She promised to take up their issues with the concerned authorities. The Congress president, to a question by some reporters on the completion of 100 days of the Narendra Modi government outside the Jai Ma Anandi Devi temple in Bheetar Gaon where she had gone for darshans, responded the “people will give a reply to whether prices (of essential commodities) have gone down or not”. At Rehwa village, women complained to her about power and water woes, and absence of doctors at the newly opened primary health centre in the area. Sonia Gandhi also visited the house of Shambhu Sharan Diwedi Bandhu, a litterateur who died recently, to pay her condolences to his family members.

Sonia Gandhi: Will take up Raebareli's water, power problems with UP Chief Minister

Raebareli: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Monday visited her parliament constituency Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh and assured the people that she would take up their problems regarding poor supply of power and drinking water with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. “I have been apprised of the problems of power and water supply wherever I have visited earlier today (Monday), and I will take it up with chief minister Akhilesh Yadav,” said Sonia Gandhi, who is on a two-day visit to her constituency. At at Faridpur village in Harchandpur, the Congress president dedicated to the people roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and some other schemes including a “barat ghar” (marriage hall) at Harchandpur and Bakuliha blocks.

Amethi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who visited his parliamentary constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, took a dig at the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre for failing to control the rising prices. The Congress leader also said that there is a difference between what they say and what they do. On being asked about the recent Maharashtra Sadan row, where a Muslim catering manager was force fed by a Shiv Sena MP, Rahul Gandhi blamed the Shiv Sena and the BJP for the controversy. He also said that the ideology of RSS and the BJP has been exposed after Maharashtra Sadan row.

Priyanka Gandhi in Raebareli: Support Congress, reject negative ideology of BJP

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, sister of Congress President Rahul Gandhi who has been campaigning for her mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli said on Wednesday continued her attack on divisive BJP. "This election is a battle between two ideologies. On one side we have Congress, which in the past ten years, initiated a right-based paradigm in governance. It gave you rights to food, education, information and jobs and further plans to give you rights to shelter and food. This is our ideology. Congress wants to give power and rights to the people. If anyone wants to get any information, he must get it. If anyone wants to know something on corruption, he must be legally entitled to get it. This is Congress' ideology", she said.

Raebareli: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and sister of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi broke her silence on the allegations levelled by BJP against her husband. "What is happening now? Whenever we switch on TV, we hear arrogant language and personal attacks. Many things are being said about my family, my husband. I feel sad the way humiliating things are being said. I keep telling my children that one day the truth will come out" said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while speaking at Raebareli from where her mother Sonia Gandhi is seeking a fourth term in parliament.

Sonia Gandhi in Raebareli launches several development schemes

Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi visited Raebareli, her parliament constituency on Monday and gifted a number of development schemes to the people of her Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress Member of Parliament launched several road projects, new bank branches, FM radio station, a railway line and also inaugurated a reverse osmosis (RO) plant in the constituency.Sonia Gandhi, who landed at the Fursatganj airport on Monday morning, laid foundation of over 50 roads under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna in Raebareli, connecting various villages of the district. The Congress President also inaugurated a water treatment plant that will cater to 110 villages in the region, and dedicated an FM radio station at Akashwani premises on Amawan Road. FM Rainbow, available at a frequency of 102.8 mhz, will cater to the information and entertainment needs of the people.
